Whine Noise
Noticing when in first gear (imagine that) climb RPM slowly to 2700, engine whines, sorta like the gear is slipping, only 1500 miles on my car, punch the pedal, sounds great, growls and takes off, but at that 2700-3000 range (slowly accelerating) almost sounds like engine is starved, doesnt sound natural. Is this because the 93 tune eithier meant to be 1) moved quickly through the rpm and the gears shifting toward redline or 2) taken easy up and shifting early (like 2000 or 2200 rpm) through the gears?? Doesnt seem to like being caught in the middle. is this normal? or do i take off the CAI and tune and bring it in to ford?

RE: Whine Noise
1. Take the ten minutes and re-tune to stock and replace the CAI with the stock air-box.
2. Drive the car as you would normally and see if the engine displays the same unpleasant characteristics.
3. If it does, take it back to the dealer and have them check it.
4. If the problem goes away, call your tuner and describe the problem - he'll probably send you an upgraded tune. If that is the case, keep it stock until you get the new program.
Good luck.
