I have the Pro sitting here now, waiting to install the DS at the same time. I've read the Pro and Tri-ax are exactly the same. What will help you decide is drive cars that have them both. Drive your buddies car and then find another with a Tri-ax...

From everything I've seen and read, they are virtually identical. I would recommend buying whichever one you find cheaper. I purchased the Pro 5.0, which was only $10 cheaper than the Tri-ax, but hey $10 is $10 right? It is a really nice shifter. Very solid, and missing third is a thing of the past.

Ive had them both, they look Identical but they aren't! The Steeda has a totally differnt internal shifting mechanism. My Pro 50 was very hard to find 5th and Reverse, My Steeda is not that way, The new Steeda allows you to use your nylon bushings and the Pro 50 uses brass bushings. I love the Steeda shifter and believe me...there is no comparison! Plus the Steeda has a anti binding spring type of mechanism thats eliminates the binding completly so you don't have to waste the money on extra stiffing devises like the CHE torque member brace. Mine isn't stiff and it never binds on meSteeda FTW!
