An intake that will work with the stock tune (K&N, Airaid), 5-10hp. A good intake and tune (C&L, JLT), 20-30hp. You want to play you got to pay. Before I got my intake and tune I was reading all these posts with people saying how drastically it improves that car. I was very skeptical of these huge improvements that people were saying. But now that I have it on my car I can honestly say that there is a pretty big improvement. Maybe not as big as some people claim but there definetly is a very noticable improvement.

Thanks for the quick reply.. Guy at work has a 01 Bullit with full lenghts and Steeda exhaust and a C&L intake with 3.73's and a 5 speed. We done a 60mph punch off he was right with me the whole time bumper to bumper I am all stock auto with 3.31's only mod is the Axle back; more for sound than anything else..

You hung with his modified bullit with your stock GT. Not a bad place to start from. I'd imagine with a good intake and tune that you'd slowly walk away from him. Gears would help you too, going from 3.31 to 3.73 or something would help alot. Escpecially since you have an auto, all you have to do is put hold your foot to the floor. A tune would help you transmission shift alot faster. I think there is more to gain from a tune on an automatic than a standard.

+1 to that. A tune on an auto is so much more noticable.

i can say that my tuned airraid made a huge difference. more so the tune then the intake. just feels like it responds so much better. my last car was an auto that was tuned by Brenspeed also. It was the old AODE but it still made a huge difference with the tune.
