Default Spyder DS Installed

Some of you may be aware of my Denny's DS fiasco. If not, in short, installed 6 separate times with huge vibrations at 100mph. Never was able to figure it out.

All I can say is that Ron (Spyder) rocks. The Spyder DS went on like a dream and feels the same. Vibrations through 120mph are completely gone. [sm=happybounce.gif]

Now, between 80-90 there's a small "voom voom" sound and when decelerating from 130mph I get some vibration. However, I left my pinion at 0* as a baseline. I'm confident that when I adjust my pinion both issues will go away. If the sound between 80-90 stays there I can live with that. I just installed Prothane motor mounts and Torque Limiters, so that has increased NVH a bit.

Bottom line, I am completely satisfied with the Spyder DS.

THANKS RON!!!! [sm=groupwave.gif]

Congrats on finally getting things smoothed out![8D]
I guess I should consider myself fortunate that my Denny's is doing fine. I know you have been around the block a few times with this, so it is nice to see that Ron's took care of everthing.

you know the funny thing is mine is actually lighter than the carbon shaft. i don't know why that is but they advertise it at 17 or 18lbs. and mine is roughly 16.5 lbs. and strength isn't really an issue since there's only a couple guys out there with 700+hp and they don't even run the stock style transmission with a fixed flange on the output shaft.
i could BS everyone and say mine will hold 1200hp and since no one has that much power i could get away with it but i just state the results from real world experience. i have dozens being used in drag race applications with 500+rwhp,manual trans, slicks and launching hard...no grandma slipping i'm talking 5-6krpms and slide you foot off
