It would only work if you drive around with no hood on your car. A "highly reflective mylar" surface would only be benefitialfor objects indirect sunlight.

While Mylar does reflect radiant heat... this kinda **** is snake oil (as ski so correctly said..). Tin foil also reflects radiant heat, but I don't think you would see me wrapping my intake or rad hoses in it unless I was in dire needs of about .02off my ETat the track...
You'd be better off spending your money on ducting some air up into the airbox from the front air dam if your THAT concerned about cool air... but even that is questionable as to the gains... the CDC shaker does this, and no one has ever posted any gains in ET or HP from that...
