Had them installed at Rear end specialties in santa Clara ca....really nice guys ..toook about 2 1/2 hours and out the door. Will say that i have a small whine and asked them to look at it, They are going to open it up and recheck, shoud be no noise. Had to replace the pnion bearing so maybe it just wasn't seated all the way, really not that much noise but.....what the heck, should be right and I am sure it will be fine.
Sure is alot of fun to drive !! speedo now moves like the tach used to....at freeway speeds REALLY quick.

 

Tried my first launch this morning and boys does it ever !! Really doesn't spin the tires as much as you would think... think the 3.55 gears were almost easier to burn. Second now isnt just a chirp either.. !!
Maybe now I need a blower ??

 

As posted last week....I had some gear whine on coast with these gears, Took it back to rear end specialties and they opened it up. They found that the coast pattern was not as nice as it could be...rather than reset the pinion they opted on thier own to replace the gear set and even one of the carrier bearings. They even asked if I would like to try a different ratio...I thought about the 4.32.......but stayed 4.10
With a good looking new pattern and a test drive that now is I think quieter than the stock gears I will say that the guys there will for sure have my business again.

 

I too just got the 4.10 installed and noticed less tire spin at launch - that doesn't make sense though. Any ideas?
