For alll of those who are thinking of changing to the 4.10 in a manual trans .....it's like a totally different car to drive. If you like the cruise and feel of your car as it is and are just looking for speed.....best off to leave them alone. If you are looking for a cart that is for sure more jumpy and spunky...get the gears !!
For me ...it was a great move as I really like the almost spastic moves of the car now....not to many other cars can hang from 0-100 now. It's almost like the car is either on or off....and my car now always wants to be the leader ....

great to hear. i'm gettin 4.10's and pro 5.0 shifter put in next week. can't wait. i've heard that you should break in for 100 miles then change gear oil to synthetic. but anyway must be fun driving.

Yes you need to break them in ...but its really no big deal. Just drive 50-55 or so in short trips the first 100 miles ...then work up a bit till 250 miles and the change the oil. After 500 which for me was less than a week you can then fly !!
You will absolutely love the change !!

thanks for the info. i only drive the GT on the weekends so it may take 2-3 weeks to get 250 miles, because i live in hawaii and the whole island is only like 50 miles long.but it'll just highten the suspense for when I light 'em up. and i will light 'em up!
