Got a chance to save afew bucks and buy delete plates from a guy I know but not a friend, he is getting a GT500 and selling his mods, I can get his delete plates for $100. They are Ford racing and not the steeda brand. Is this a good deal? Is there a difference in them, from what I've read they are the same. What should I be concerned with here? Is it worth saving $40 on a used set of these?
I have a tendency to only buy used if it is half or less of what new were going for. I feel that $40 is worth getting new units over used units. Not to mention if you get some from steeda, I believe the will get you the tune for them also. If you buy used, you may end up spending more then the $40 difference to get the tune. Unless of course your tuner of choice does not mind making a minor mod to your current tune.

I personally have backed away from doing delete plates, it seems like the effort to gain ratio is just not worth it. When I S/C the car I will end up putting them on at that time, but not as long as she is N/A.

Cast.

The billet plates from Steeda cost $300, Steeda claims that the are slightly bigger and will give better performance, but they are exactly the same and aren't really worth the money.
