auto tranny prep?
aside from the torque converter, tune and trans cooler- what are you high hp guys also running to keep things in check? the more I have driven my moms new ford edge the more and more I am opting for an auto instead of the manual..it just would be so much more comfortable as a daily cruiser high speed freeway car with the auto then it would with the 5 speed in terms of both comfort and the long haul.
something like the deep something so and so trans fluid pan or something? lol..
I highly doubt I am going to shell out an extra $5-6k for a race prepped 1000hp tranny just for daily driving or the occassional straightaway speed.Just want a little insurance for the tranny that withstand 480-500whp .
any weak links I should worry about? I know there was another thread I had about the auto but it was more about longevity of the stock components then it was with what actual aftermarket parts were needed...

RE: auto tranny prep?
triple tranny cooler packs directly bolted onto the tranny? not really tranny coolers but really ice coolers filled with ice that I can re-fill and drain through the in cabin center arm rest console?
not only tranny coolers but double also as beer and soda chillers? cooling the tranny while also cooling me off on a hot day with an icy cool beverage?
sweet.

I'm running the deep pan which holds an additional 4 quarts of fluid. Picked mine up from Brenspeed when he did my Paxton install. The best about it though is it provides a dipstick to check the fluid level.
