My motor is being rebuilt, can you help identify the cause of the problem?

If you don't drive any hard miles and you don't race, why do you have a specially built supercharged GT? I don't understand the logic.

Both motors had virtually no hard miles. Car has never and will never be raced.

the KB tune that came with the blower was for a stock 4.6 3v, (unless you told Kenne Bell what you had and he worked a tune for you.)
well anyway. he had a built engine, its different. a custom dyno tune is a must for a built and blown motor! that way the tune will be spot on, and is perfected for all your specific mods.

^exactly. its not anyone's fault but yours really. just b/c its built, a tune that does not match the motor will still blow it easily. i ALWAYS recommend getting a dyno tune. Never rely on canned tunes, ESPECIALLY with boost.

Car has never been raced. But it has a built motor and a kennebell supercharger, all things to make it go faster. Sounds raced to me. I agree though, probably in the tune. This time around get it tuned and invest in a wideband.

We had it in Germany when the first motor blew and then it was babied since I got it back in the states. I had every intention on strapping it onto a dyno but Germans are crazy expensive if you dont have a bimmer. Most of the miles with the second motor was with the boost in bypass (no boost) I know the logic of having a very fast car and not race it is pretty stupid but thats just me. Will I race it in the future? as soon as I know the tune is perfect and she'll handle it and I can afford it...probably. I just like my toys.
Good thing is, it is going on a dyno this time!!!lol
take it easy gents

Woohoo Good news. Turns out the pistons made it and what I was looking at was a bent valve. The tune turned out to be the culprit and was running in a way that develobed a ton of carbon on my pistons and head and clogged up a valve and she slapped and bent. They are in the process of rebuilding now and will be done either tomorrow or early next week. I will be expecting the car the end of next week.
