Default Anyone have any luck with a throttle body

I know awhile back i had saw alota people saying the throttle bodys were wastses of money and some people had a hard time to get there car running right. I was just curious if anyone had any positive expericnes with them. Ive seen some decent dynos and stuff and it seemed like a decent gain for the 250$ or so for the TB. any input?

I dont think anyone has really "gained" much from a TB swap. There have been many people that have gotten them to work though. You wont see anything in the way of gains really unless you have over 600HP. The stock one is pretty good. The gt500 TB swap has never cause any problems. Cant say i gained anything with it though either.

Save you money for something else.

Unless you are running positive displacement supercharger you wont gain anything because the stock TB flow plenty. They dont have good driving characteristic (BBK) but you can go GT500 (1025 CFM?) with an adapter, it flows more than the GT if you need it. There is also the Black Diamond at 1600 CFM or 2000 CFM

my gt500 TB swap gave me nothing but error codes.. kept going into "limp home" mode.. and if anyone has ever experienced that, it's not fun.. at one point the engine rev'd to like 3300 rpm and stayed there, which would have been okay had i not been on a hill at a stop light.. lol

i can honestly say i love Jeg's return policy!

once i learned a little bit about them, theres only so much air that will naturally flow through, and unless you force it.. not worth much imo
