Actually, I was running both. I was comparing the two. Are you suggesting I should run the torque tune, if so...why? I've ran 14.2 with both tunes. Hard to really test them both out when you only get 2 runs in each night.

You make it sound like I must be some kinda idiot or dork for running the race tune at the track. I think I'm going to need an explanation....

Ummm... I may be a bit biased... But awesome job with the Auto tranny vs. the manuals!!! It's no doubt the autos are actually contenders vs. the manuals on the drag strip, and you definitely drove that into the ground. Makes me feel a lot better about getting my auto. I personally love it, especially at the track! Nice job! Any idea what those times calculate to for sea level???

Yes I do. According to the NHRA conversion, the DA altitude being 6350, I would've ran
13.08 @ 105. The track website states altitude 4400,' NHRA corrected 7000'-11000'. If I just convert using the actual altutude of 4400', I would've ran a 13.4. Another thing though....I'd sure have to hook to run that 13.08. As it is right now, I have to problems hooking at the line.

13.08 seems a little quick for my mods...so, I dunno. I can tell ya this though...I drove to Calif a few months ago and the car ran much stronger with 3 people in it and loaded with luggage than it does up here with just me in it.

I love my auto too. The only minor complaint is that I'd like to hear my boomtubes when I run through the gears with a manual.

Great job I would love to have the shift (sometimes ) but I am glad I got the auto. What kinda tires you running. 13.1 would be quick with your mods. You say your launching at 1800 rpm. I bet a tq convertor would help us both out a lot. Aint it fun!! great job on the driving. I myself gotta work on my reaction times., Im running the 93 tune at the track with 295/19/35 BFG's street tires and since I added the LCA and relocation brakets it doesnt tq or twist , It bites pretty good. 3:73s also. Ive only run the 1/8 mile
keep on doggin em

I just have the KDW-2 (not the DR's). The reason I can only launch at 1800-2000 is because it takes HP to spin that T/C up and me being at such a high altitude and losing so much HP, I'm unable to get it up to 2200-2400 like I'd be able to if I were at sea level. At least I think that's what a stock T/C can do.

Let me add something here...it's a video of me completely stock vs a Cobra. You can hear my wife call out my time at the end...15.3, and now I'm running consistant 14.2's. Over a second quicker with gears, CAI and Dougs Race tune shifting at 6200. Turn up the speakers cuz the Cobra sounds bad ***.

Now add a TC. That'll really wake up your car! You'll definitely need some drag radials after that though.
