In the stickies there's a writeup on installing the MGW shifter by TacoBill. It's not the hurst but the install is all the same.

i have installed two of them. just follow your instructions and you will be fine. also take a look at taco bills write ups he has good pictures and step by step instructions. its easy shouldnt take you that long. if you are skinny you can pull your car up on a small ledge like your front wheels in the garage and back ones on the driveway. should take you an hour or so.

Not too tough of a job.
Besure and use loctite on the appropriate hardware.
Also particular tools are needed because of the
cramped quarters.

use locktight for sure and yes its a great starter job if you can change your oil you should be albe to do this... youll just need deep sockets and wither worble extensions or a knuckle for your rachet and you'll be fine.... ps fold over your boot once your done to take up some of the slack in the oem boot to show off more of that sexy chrome shifet bar!!! DO IT YOURSELF and gain some pride also be sure to locktight EVERY bolt espiceally the ones between the shifer base and the crome arm... mine loosend 3 times before i gave in
