drive shaft
hey guys i have a question... if i make my shaft aluminum would it widstand a twin turbo? cause im making it intoo one but i dont know if it'll hold... and do i have to replace the pistons and rods, cam shafts?
how much hp you aiming for. there are aluminum DS that can hold plenty hp. i dont think the cam shafts are necessary but will help, the pistons and rods are probobly a wise idea, but all depends on how much power you are going to run. above 500 rwhp, a forged rotating assembly would be advised.
If your DS is aluminum what was it rated for? ask the manufacturer first...... also if going with twins I would forge the internals at least and up the boost to 30 psi and have a 1000 hp monster.... hope it helps...
The dynotech 3.5" aluminum DS is rated for 900 HP but has been used on cars with more. I think it'll work.
I'll be installing the dynotech real soon.
