Hey barryg, what did you spend on the install? I'm going to get my 373's installed in a few months.

I am seriously considering 4.10's when I get my nitrous installed. How is your gas mileage and at what speed do you usually travel on the interstate? I have to admit I am a 75-80 mph driver on the interstate. I commute daily 60 miles both ways and would like to keep my gas mileage respectable.

Sorry...My total commute is 60 miles.

They charged me 229 for gears and 264 for the install.

Well, I am 99% sure I am going to run that combo I talked about, I guess if it costs me to much mileage I will just have to slow it down a little on the cruise speed. Part of my problem is that I run a 275/40/18 out back and that is somewhere around a 1/2" shorter than stock so those revs per mile that I have are higher and that eats some MPG. Could be worse though the truck my wife drives might get 17 MPG on the highway.

FWIW....been driving with the 3.73s for a week or 2 now and I can't IMAGINE running 4.10s for daily driving. I think I'd always be in 5th gear. I'm already at around 3K rpm in 4th at 60 with 3.73s.....and I usually do that speed on the backroads here so if I had 4.10s I'd be even higher rpm. I got about 18.5 mpg my last tank in mixed driving. I average about 80 on the freeway.

What tranny do you have? I am under the impression that 3.73's are suited best for the auto tranny.

Also...... What tire size are you running?

I have a 5spd. 17" wheels on the 235 width tires. 3.73s may work great for an auto tranny and I like them on my 5spd. But 4.10s I think I would not like since 4th gear already revs pretty high at 60 for me.

Why not use 5th gear then?? that is the whole purpose of having the last gear?
