600 hp
what would it take?Im taking the supercharger route. Its a 2007 saleen without a supercharger. Also is there a difference between the supercharged and nonsupercharged motors besides the supercharger?

built short block and turbo or supercharger making 15psi or so and all need mods, ie fuel, clutch, rear end
no GTs come with built motors so there is no difference on the 4.6s

ok on this part i think you're asking
about the 281 vs. the 281SC version
of the saleen...
i don't believe there was any difference in
the motor itself (both had non-forged internals),
but a saleen owner can weigh in and say for sure.

The base S/C saleen doesn't have a forged motor....anything after that like the extreme, dark horse 5.0L, and any other 302 they offer for the 620HP models etc. are forged. I am pretty sure thats the way it is....
either shovel out the dough to rebuild your motor top to bottom, all forged, all ballanced, might wanna stroke, but anyways boosted big time, wipple 3.4 will do, and as said before supporting other parts will be needed
Make sure u upgrade the rest! Clutch and diff etc to handle it if ur gonna strain it. Hell maybe brakes too?
From what I have been told the only difference should be cams. But there would be a list of things personally I would have to do to feel confident.
Making sure u always have fuel, and spark, and make sure its not too hot.
Also I would have to remove as many restrictions as possible. Restricted air causes friction, which is the enemy of all engines. I'm weird with fi though, but otherwise I wouldn't feel confident being hard on it.
