Default Help! Broken Spark Plugs

My friend and I went to change my plugs on my '05 GT (81k miles) today and 2 of the 8 plugs broke. The threaded section separated from the ceramic. We have managed to get the ceramic piece out as well. All that is left is the casing that is wedged agianst the wall. Anybody have some tips for me? I have read on here that people have used a special tool to tap this casing and use some all thread rod to pull it out. Is there anyone in the Columbus, Ohio area that has one of the broken plug removal tools that I could borrow?

Thanks,

Scott

withot the tool you're screwed. every ford dealer wil have the kit for removal. the tool is expensive, and im guessing that not too many people that arent technicians will have it.

Thanks for the video! It was very helpful. There is still some ceramic left in the collar. I can not use the removal tool with this still in place. Any tips on getting that last bit of ceramic out?

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Thanks, I ordered both tools. Hopefully they will do the trick! I'll update you when I get them.

Good to know about these tools for when I do mine (49K miles and counting on stock plugs).

Man,

This whole thread should be a sticky.

Great video and source of supply for the tools.

Thanks
