o2 sensor

I had an o2 sensor go bad and replaced it with a bosch from Napa(about half the price of fords), cant remember the code(17100 maybe) but the text was "bank one lean" now my sensors read unready at the DEQ nad its been driven plenty......

The bosch sensors are not good replacements; they tend to cause codes to get thrown on them. Stick with a motorcraft when replacing them

If you want to diagnosis if the sensor is bad you can swap them front to back or side to side. This means you unscrew the O2 sensor, unplug the harness and put it in a different location. If you get the same code with a different sensor then it is not the sensor most likely and is going to be tune related.

Almost all after market tunes have the rear O2 sensors turned off.

So you can swap the rear 02's to the front?
