Last weekend while driving home my car stalled on me when I got off the freeway. I tried starting my car and it would sputter and then it would stall again. I had the spark plugs replaced and now the car is running but it still does not feel 100%. The car is still not accelerating how it used to and when idle the engine seems to surge. On another note that may be related, I got a fuel level sensor error the week before it stalled.

Any ideas as to what may be causing the surges and how to fix this?

Are there any modifications?

It makes me think there is a fuel pump problem also. It's usually wire related.

 

The only modifications are Flowmasters and Eibach springs. Thanks for the help.

 

There's also a TSB for replacing the fuel pump for this issue

 

Sounds like a fuel pressure problem to me too, I'ld check out that TSB.
