+1 most people have seen better gas mileage for both city/hwy driving with an intake/tune combo (.5-3mpg) always makes me wonder when people are driving performance cars, none of which get good gas mileage, being concerned with gas mileage..

Stock the GT is better than my wife's minivan! I have one car, and a 60 mile commute, and I wanted something fun, so I need to to be able to baby it and get the mileage out of it when need be, thats all.

And if you spend $600 on a CAI/Tune combo to save gas, and you manage to save $5 per week, it will take you 2.3 years just to recoup the initial cost.

Most any CAI & 87 tune from Brenspeed or Bama will kick azz over the stock 87 tune and won't hurt your mileage unless you can't keep your foot out of it.
I just bought a Brenspeed tune and already had a Granatelli CAI. My first week with 87 tune seems to be about the same as stock tune mpg wise. But, I haven't gone on a 100 mile trip to confirm that. Brenspeed told me if I ran the tank down to 5 miles to empty I could load the 93 tune. I'm going to load 93 on my next tank. Brenspeed told me they run 93 in all their cars. They also told me their tunes gives the best fuel economy possible. Keeping your foot light on the accelerator gives the best fuel economy for sure. I get great mileage on my GT but live in Charlottesville, Virginia with a lot of hills. Yes it takes more gas to climb them but it seems I'm drifting in neutral more than going up hills.
