Default TPMS??

I want to get drag radial track only tires but my car has TPMS (Tire-pressure monitoring system)

Is there supposed to be a special way to change out the tires and will having fatter tires trip the system off any?

I need to be able to swap out my tires at the track but don't wanna go farking things up on the system..

Couple of ideas:

Get a tune specifically for those tires and the race track. Just switch to it when you put the DRs on.

I dont think the TPMS is gonna be a problem. The car will probably tell you there is an issue with the TPMS but I doubt it will impact performance. The warning should turn off when you put the wheels with the TPMS back on.

I am gonna do the same thing once I get bigger rims for the rear. I'm gonna use the old 8.5" rims for a set of slicks.

You can either deal with the message on the message center. Switch out the sensors from your current wheels, or buy the entire kit from American Muscle for ~150.00 for your new set and be done with it.

that should do the trick.. I didn't even know they sold extra sensors for use with different tires.

That's pretty cool...
