I have an '06 GT with C&L CAI street, and a Bama 91 performance tune. Shorty headers, and a magna flow exhaust system. The car has a manual tran. In first and second gear at WOT the car performs great. But when I am in third at about 4500rpm it starts to misfire really bad. The same happens in fourth gear as well only at lower rpm, and not at WOT. I got a trouble code for the unplanned misfire on my predator. Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this problem?

 

Contact Bama and maybe they can send you another tune.

 

Also try checking your spark plugs...

 

Thanks for the advice guy's. Doug at Bama said to check the plugs as well. I just finished putting in some new Champions and the problem is fixed. Car runs great now at any speed and rpm. Once again thanks!

 

I just drove the Alaskan Highway in a 07 GT. I have the same problem except the only aftermarket parts are a roush cold air intake and mufflers. Misfiring starts above 4500 rpm in second third and fourth gears. replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors, replaced one bad coil and spark plug. Any other ideas?

 

i'd change the whole set of coils and plugs
