Default is this normal??

i live in oversea south korea. i own a 09 mustang gt conv.

today i went to check my stang on a dyno.

in result, my stang showed me 270 rwhp and 37 torque...

since mine is tuned with borla cat back exhaust, pypes shorty headers, MSD ignition coils, AEM brute force CAI, diablo sport 91OCT tune ( i changed to +1 degree and 10%air increase)

i thought it would come out at least 290~300???

isnt stock rwhp is around 260~270???

when i reset my tune to original, it came out to be 235 rwh....

anybody know any how this is happening?? maybe my exhaust system is bad?

after changing original to after market i could felt that my starting became so much slower... may cause loss of back pressure??

please help me out

me no idea how to good take care or tune a mustang gt conv

Do you have an automatic or a manual? Automatics dyno lower because of more horsepower loss through the drive train. Any car with an automatic will dyno lower than the same vehicle with a manual because of this effect.

There are a lot of factors--did you do a baseline run before any of the mods? If not, you don't really know whether you gained or lost, and how much, over stock. Are you near the coast or in the mountains--higher elevations will lead to lower power numbers...

There are several factors that affect RWHP- weather (specifically humidity), elevation (air density), tire slippage (if not correctly strapped), type of dynometer software.

The dyno run should be with the 1:1 gear.

As a general rule, a RWD drivetrain car loses approximately 20% (FWD: ~15%, AWD: ~25%).

Can you post a clear picture of your dyno run? I'ld like to see your power curve a a/f ratio

Did you have it dyno'd in the ROK? What type of dyno? I probably wouldn't give much credence to a dyno shop in South Korea unless you KNOW they have a solid history and reputation with performance cars. Granted, its been 20 years since I was there, but heck, I wouldn't even take a Stang to Korea - very narrow roads, lack of covered or garaged parking, etc.
