So I had the P1000 code after putting headers in (no the battery was not disconnected). Then after a few days the P0430 code came up, I cleared it because I read many forum pages saying to do so. Finally, the P1000 came up again. I have yet to see if this just goes away or not, but does this make sense like this should happen.

The P1000 is normal. You should not get a "check engine light" for that. If the 430 code comes back, check for exhaust leaks.
