Actually you have it backwards.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I would be pretty upset as well and IMO Ford seems to have really dropped the ball here.

I changed mine when I put the supercharger on at 9k miles. I was going to change them even before the supercharger.

EEEEEIIINNNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WROOOOONG!

Although the Champion 2 piece fixes the problem it is NOT the plugs that are faulty.
It is the cylinder head. That is why Ford has changed the design of the head.

Actually, it's both. The crappy head design causes the crappy 2 piece plug to come apart.
If you install a 1 piece plug (right now that would be either Brisk or Champion. There's supposed to be an NGK plug under development) and use some nickel anti-seize you're probably OK.

A 2 piece design would work fine in just about any other head.

Any other plugs made in a 2 piece design? I've never seen one. I cannot believe Ford has never re-done the spec. on this plug to a one piece design. I still think if they admitted it was a terrible design, they'd be open to major law suits. The only thing dumber than the head design was to put a 2 piece spark plug in that head.
