ADJ UCA, Lowered, 4:10"s question
I got the Steeda Sport Springs (lowered about 1"-1.5"), and the Motive 4:10 gears. I'm getting some annoying whine at certain speeds/rpms. It's also a convertable, so maybe the noise is worse than in a coupe. I thought, if I adjust the pinion angle, I may be able to eliminate some of it.
I just wanted to know if anybody was successful in reducing gear noise by putting on an ADJ UCA, after they'd already put in the lowering springs and gears?
Secondly, I've installed everything but the gears, so how difficult is it to set the pinion angle once I've installed the UCA? It would seem to me, a big pain to determine the angle (with weight on the car, i.e. tires on the ground) with a lowered car? How the heck do you squeeze under the car to determine the angle?
I guess I could put the car on 4 jack stands, but that doesn't sound to safe.
