gauge problems !
driving home on sat i was sitting at a red light when i look down and saw that my rpm gauge was sitting on 0 so i gave it some gas and sure enough it has still running .then i look to the right and notice that the volt gauge is all the way down to low. so when i get home i shut her off and restart her same thing but this time the volt reads high . so i take her into ford and they say the culster is bad and 700 and shell be good as new .
has anyone else had this problem ?

I had the same problem, got mine fixed about 3 months ago, but ford only charged my $550. My gauges have worked perfectly since than. I would recommend getting it fixed soon, because my gauges went out the same way first the tachometer than my volt gauges than my speedometer. And trust me it's hard to drive when you don't know how fast your going and cops wont believe you when you say your speedometer doesn't work.

it happened to me Sorta like that but My problem came from a voltage problem coming from my alternator. output was 11 volts and I lost gauges then radio. turned out ford uses a brush/rectifier unit in the inside the alternator motorcraft part vp4l3u-10c359 of corse they do not sell just the part they want tyou to buy the hole alternator.
I found an upgraded replacement from WAI company called F601HD for 45 bucks.
good luck with your gauge problem i would try the salvage yard and use the web to explain the replacement. Its not that bad. see some of the write ups from guys changing out to the my color gauge clusters.
