Can't say much about MBRP- not much experience with their product.

However, I would stay away from Pypes. I have no idea who makes their products. They are a distributor. Recently, I was talking with another automotive company about their poor quality- mainly the materials used to make them.

I have the MBRPs, they are quite nice from a fit an finish standpoint, but not extremely loud. I've tried a few different setups and the MBRPs have the best fitment hands down. They lined up perfectly with no adjustments, which is what they advertise.

Out of the few I've tried, and the many I've heard, the SLP Powerflos easily owned them all, and hardly anyone runs them. I'd buy those in a heartbeat (sold my '07 GT with them on). I'll swap out these MBRPs for those eventually.

Here are a few vids of the MBRPs. Not great quality, but as good as it gets with a small vid cam. If you're looking for high quality and medium sound level, they are a good choice.

I like the sound of my violators. They are pretty quiet when just cruising around town, but they really liven up at WOT. The drone is not too pleasant between 1-2k. The fitment from the factory was horrible. And I mean horrible. I think they were almost touching the sides of the openings, and they were about 1.5-2" below where they should be. Not to mention that the pipes were too big, and were really sloppy on the stock pipes, I had to shim the pipes to be able to tighten them up. I had to cut two of the mounts and re-weld them to raise the tips up, then put a little bend in them. After all that, I got them to look good, then one of the mounts was touching and vibrating on the car. BUT, they were cheap. I might buy them again. I'm not sure.

edit-- I see you already have to pypes. And I dont have any experience with the mbrps, so I don't know if i can help you much.

We have seen a lot of mufflers come and go and nobody beats the quality of a MBRP, hands down.

Now, onto the sound, do you still have cats?

Pypes Exhaust is a manufacturer, not a distributor and they both make nice stuff. I would say that the Pypes Violators are going to be louder, especailly w/o cats.
