Hey everyone, hope someone can offer some advice.

Yesterday, I went to start my 05 GT and the battery was dead. I pulled the release latch and it sounded like it opened the hood. When I go to actually lift the hood though, only the passenger side seems to have released. The drivers side is still latched down.

I can even lift it enough to get my fingers to the inside latch, but I can't move it enough to open the hood.

Any potential solutions that don't include towing to a dealer?

 

Ugh, I had this happen on an old car once. I was able to jack up the front of the car and reach up between the motor and radiator to reach the latch. Don't know if it will work on the stang, but it's the only idea I have.
