what do you all think about the Magnacharger? I was looking up vids on it and this bad boy whines like a ****..

haven't read too much about it, but from what I hear their rep is sound.

The price is pretty decent for an intercooled kit roots blower($5,195), though they put around "only" 400whp/390 lbs. trq compared to the 480whp/450 lbs. trq of either the Paxton or Vortechs at the same price. Obviously it'll be power on tap, not building up.

Considering this kit, though it has alot to do with it's "bling factor" and "whine appeal" lol..

..kinda worried that the hp will not be enough for me in the long run, though all that power on tap will sure feel like its 480whp lol.

Pretty sure they have upgraded pulleys for the kit....

well at least you are thinking of future potential
and that is good. one thing that gets said quite
often is that you get used to the power and may
someday want to be able to turn up the boost.

i happen to like FRPP for some reason, so i've
gone that route. i'll be bolting on yet another
FRPP product, here shortly.

To the OP the Magnacharger is only $3,900 shipped from J&M. Most RWHP will be around 400 even, but very reliable.

I am pretty sure they have upgraded pulleys and power combinations for more hp.. though I doubt they will be conservative (say +25whp) and more like 485-495whp, which may be too much for this type of blower on a stock motor/tranny.

I checked out the installation manual.. peice of cake! So many pictures and simple to read instructions.

EDIT:

Ask and thy shall recieve lol..
off the livernois website:

2006 Mustang GT Manual - Baseline w/ Mac Axle-back and 4.10 gear - 271 RWHP / 289 RWTQ

After Installing the Magnacharger w/ 3.1" (8 lb. pulley) (no other mods) - 427 RWHP / 394 RWTQ

You are correct but that is basically the most you will get without belt slip.
