I would contact brenspeed.com about the tune question, they will know.

As far as overheating goes, turn on the A/C like someone said and see if the fans come on. Your fans may still spin, but not fast enough to cool the engine. If the fans aren't working correctly, then the engine will over heat, but if it's overheating at highway speeds, then I'm afraid you have bigger problems. No coolant in your oil right?

All fan fuses are new. I really dont know what step to take next
Did you actually put on a new waterpump?

Why did you change the CHT sensor? It will not cause your car to overheat, however it will cause your car to show it's overheating, even though it really is not.

To see if your fan actually works with the car running, just let it idle and it should turn on AFTER the car gets to a certain temp. If the car does get hot, keep a fan near and blow cool air on the motor to cool it down. It's kind of useless but it helps. Did you replace the fan? Is it blowing the right direction?

I hate when people tell us a tiny little piece of the story and expect an answer.

Thanks for all the help. I took the fan out of the car and of course it acted up as usual so im pretty sure that is the problem i have a mishimoto on order. The motor in the old fan which was already upgraded to a 14in mishimoto was clicking when i wired it to the battery. Thanks for all the info on the tuners im goint to buy a sct3 from brenspeed and get a tune from them. I also think i should buy a fan sensor just in case. once again think for the help ill post info on the progress.

holy jesus what kind of tech is going on here?????

First of all, not one single person asked you anything important...

#1 - how much boost and power are you making?

#2 - what tuner came with the car and who tuned it?

#3 - are you throwing any codes

My guess is you live in hawaii and the weather is hot and humid. You have an air to air system forced induction set-up on your car. Sorry, but an air to air set-up where you live is just not smart. I would have went with a water to air type of power adder but nothing you can do about that now.

My bet is you are going to have issues where you live trying to make power with a procharger set-up... period.

I would contact JPC and fork out the money to have your front mount cooler changed to one of their air to water systems for the procharger - they are the ONLY ones who have something like this for the S197 procharger set-ups.

Second, I would get an EH20 pump (mezuire) and a 160º T-stat pronto and 3rd - if you haven't already done it - I would get a good tune for your car asap before you find one or two of your rods poking there heads out of the side of your block.

I asked some questions but he failed to answer then so screw him.

We can't help those who won't help themselves.

I can watch my temps drop when the fan kicks on in traffic. Overheating would be a certainty without a working fan.

It makes sense that the car would suddenly start overheating if the fan went out.

Most of the posts were directed at troubleshooting the fan.
The fan not working while he's driving (just normal cruising) around probably would not cause an overheating issue because of air moving through the motor anyway.

He never listed in CELs.

The fan will also malfuction if there is an issue with his Cylinder Head Temp sensor. If the wire gets frayed going to the sensor, it will show your car is overheating when it really isn't. Then the car goes into failsafe. I wonder why he replaced the CHT? He never answered so we don't know.

Why did he replace his pump? Who knows?

Why did he do any of the things he did? We don't F'in know!!!

We don't know because he didn't give us the info. When you and I have a problem with a part on our car, we provide all the info we can think of so we get the answer we need. In this case, his description was vague, poorly worded, and he didn't follow up with answers to the questions.
