weapon R Secret weapon intake

Default weapon R Secret weapon intake

a friend of mine just ordered one of these for his 06 v6 from some1 he knows and says it's a really good air intake but i cant really tell. i've never heard of them before and dosent give a lot of info on the site. any1 know anything about these and whether or not they need a tune?

They don't but a tune would increase the gain a little (Talking about a difference between ~5 and 7 hp) That being said, it's mostly just a shiny bit to put under the hood.

A stand-alone CAI is barely worth the 3-5 RWHP gain (ignore the garbage marketing numbers). Add a tune to a GOOD CAI and you're talking much more RWHP gain.

I just would not be able to get myself to order anything that had weapon R Secret weapon in the name. Sounds like something that belongs in an 8 year old's toy chest.

the brand is actually very popular with mazda, subaru and mitsu.

it's not a knock off brand, pretty expensive, makes good products but I don;t know about putting it on a Mustang.

The Weapon R stuff tends to work very well in the import crowd. That being said, i haven't seen them on a mustang...can't tell what the difference would be compared to JLT, Steeda, etc.
