BBK swears that their throttle body will give 15-20 xtra hp! from what ive been reading on this site is that they are a waist of $$ unless you have a supercharger... for 300 bux 15 hp doesnt sound like a bad deal! has anyone had experience with these at all?

 

Plenty of experience, especially if you use the search feature. If you believe manufacturer claims, then I have a bridge to sell you.

BBK is full of ****.

The only way that would happen is if the stock TB was as big around as a quarter.

 

It's closer to 5 hp.

 

The stock tb flows 925 cfm. Think about the old days when going over 650 on a 350 was too much. There is a point where a bigger tb will help but the stock unit will support alot of hp, more than most supercharger kits can give.

 

Expensive doorstop/lesson

Keep the OEM TB and tools in the trunk
when the BBK takes a sheit at the worst
possable moment...

 

The manufacturers of the Turbinator swear their product does EVERYTHING. Keep your money in your pocket.

 

I installed the GT-500 TB with a spacer plate and without a tune I felt a difference. 10-15HP That's pure BULLSH$T I'ld say 5 but it's across entire RPM range so it's worth it buuuuuuuuuuttt not the BBK because you have to swap electronics. a FRPP unit comes with new already set electronics. You can get a GT-500 twin 60mm for $150, one of those spacer plates for like $20 I think and longer bolts and still be cheaper then BBK and its bolt on and go.

 

Wait, you're kidding right? I wonder if I can return this thing?
