Hello,
I have a 2007 Mustang 6 cyl.
Has anyone had a problem with their Mustang just dying while driving it or turning in somewhere?
Mine does this from time to time, but it will start right back up. I've recently bought a new battery thinking this may be the problem, but that didn't seem to fix it either.
I've taken it to the dealership and they have looked it over and no codes come up, they say everything is working like it's supose to, and it may be carbon build up. They can "clean" it out for $100, but I don't know if that is really the problem or is it something else.
I love my car too much to be scared to drive it. Any advise would be so great!! Thanks!!

I suggest you begin with the easy things: clean the TB and the MAF. Are you running the stock tune? A CAI? Any other mods you're aware of? Have you changed brands of gas?

If you're not throwing any codes, you'll need patience as you troubleshoot.

Be sure to get the right cleaner for the MAF. Several companies make it - you can even get it from Amazon. But a MAF is a very delicate item. DON'T DROP IT! Follow the instructions to the "T".

And the best way to clean your Throttle Body is to remove it. But you can do it on the car if you're not confident enough to remove it. You don't want to let the cleaner run through the engine like the old days with Carb cleaner though.
