Default Intake Manifold?

So i have bbk ceramic shorty's and Detroit rocker cams waiting to be installed. Already on the car i have, JLT cai, 93 TUne, delete plates, Steeda UDP, Bassani catted X, 410's and SLP powerflos. SHould i go ahead and get FRPP intake manifold and install all three at the same time, or just put the money elsewhere?

if u decide to do it u should put it on a dyno and see what it makes with that on. I think guys are getting around 340 to 350 with that set up minus the intake manifold. Id be interested. I think its advertising a 30 horse power increase but thats probably with heads and all that

With a good set of cams the FRPP manifold should give you an extra 10-18 RWHP across the entire RPM range with a good dyno tune.

From my research, the FRPP supposed to give power up in the 6000 rpm, This is my only hesitation on getting it. Sparta, you say that it will give power across the rpm range, if this is true, it might be worth getting. I just dont want to spend $500 on a part that will not do anything for my car. So, is getting this manifold worth getting and installing along with my rocker cams and shorty headers?

any other comments? Get the manifold installed along with cams and headers? Will the manifold produce more power than my delete plate set up on the stock manifold at lower rpm, or is the new manifold only giving more ponies at 6000 and up?

I have an auto so when i had them first installed I had brenspeed send me another tune b/c my throttle response just wasnt there when i first got the car back from install but ever since i have had the new tune its been amazing. I can certainly tell a big difference in the cars acceleration. It a great compliment to the 410 gears. Oh and the sound is bad@&&. So yes i did notice a nice increase in power however i think i may put on some LT's next spring just so i can get the most out of my cams.

Actually Mustang and Fast Fords had an article about the new ford manifold. They ran a test with the stock, then added the manifold, and then added hotrod cams to it. The did several other tests with heads but im not going to type in those number

Baseline stock Gt
4000 Rpms hp-259 tq-340
5000 334 351
6000 359 315

Stock engine with manifold
4000 Rpms hp-245 tq-322
5000 332 349
6000 366 320

Hot Rod cams with minifold
4000 Rpms hp-247 tq-325
5000 340 358
6000 382 335

the dyno does show at 6800rpms that hp was 400 with cams and manifold compared to just the manifold at 336. The article does not say anything about LT's being used. IF it is without Long tubes then thats a nice increase. Im gonna email the company that did the test and find out. It was Livernois Motorsports out of michigan

I'm in the minority...but put your money elsewhere. Just too easy to manipulate a few extra horses on a dyno and claim it's the IM.
