Default EXEDY Mach 500 Clutch?

Anyone hear good/bad things about this clutch?

I am still seriously considering replacing my brand new Spec 2+.

I havent heard anything about this clutch (Exedy) and all others I have heard mixed reviews on except the Mcleod, which is very expensive.

I am tight on finances to say the least but I need something that will be quiet and not make noise as this is my daily driver, as well as hold up for my mods. I will never make over 500hp or trq. That's for sure.

I also noticed some say 10 tooth and some say 26 tooth... both for the 2005-2008 Mustang
Which would I need? I also see they have 8 bolt and 6 bolt flywheel.... dont know which of those I would need either.

Hrm... I have a SPEC Steel flywheel now..

Look how different the SPEC and Exedy look...
Would I need to get a Exedy flywheel if I got their clutch or would mine work fine?
Fitment issus are concerning me as far as maybe getting chatter if I don't buy the flywheel that matches.

The one I have now.

Use your stock flywheel. Have it resurfaced or rebuilt. Sell the flywheel you and clutch you have now.

Seems like every single clutch I come upon I am hearing isssues on hahaaha.
That's the internet for you.

Anyhow... I am still looking at the Exedy.
However... I heard the Mach 500 is the same clutch that was used in the
Roush P-51 and that they had problems. (Haven't heard alot about this just one or two people talking)
It's funny because I have came across alot of people that bought the clutch
titled as the P-51 clutch in their GT's with great words about it.

Dunno for sure but I am going to do some more research on it.
I have come upon ALOT of people saying they used the Mach 400's and were great.
My car right now is at about 312-318RWHP and about 307-315Trq.

I will never go F.I. on this car and if I did it by the time I did it would be time to get a new clutch anyway.
I doubt this car will see 400RWHP.

So I debating on the 400 or 500 series clutch.

I am actually going to call ROUSH and ask them about it.
And even though Brenspeed and BlowByRacing both said the Mach 500 was a great clutch I am going to call both of them back again and talk a little more with them about it.

Stay with stock IMO. I'd go back to stock if I were N/A. A member of our local board runs UMTR series and has an after market clutch. He runs about what you have. States he will go back to stock when he changes again. I may end up going back to stock in the end.

Many will disagree with me, but the RST twin disk I invested $700.00 in was not worth the money IMHO. Engagement issues, chatter @ 1500 RPM, service support subpar, etc. Feels great first tihing but after it warms up a bit has engagement point issues. Never seems to engage the same place twice, and point of engagement with relation to the pedal seems to start mid stroke then @ 3/4 -7/8 relaeased after driving for about 45 minutes under normal conditions. Made three passes with it and could smell clutch at the end of each run lightly. Never had any of those problems wit hthe old stock clutch. Replaced it anticipating failiure in the near future yet when pulled both the flywheel and clutc hpack looked worn but not burned at all. Still had life in it @ 34000 miles. Will be going back to stock or to this Exedy 500 or 600 that Brenspeed now offers. Spoke to Brent at NMRA Bowling Green Saturday and he stated that they were VERY happy with Exedy and would be updating their website drivetrain section very soon with pricing, etc.
