Default steeda cold air

Hey all, need some advice. anything will help. I have an 08 gt. I have a steeda cold air kit. Now the elbow comes in 2 pieces. The problem is theat the elbow sags and is slipping out of the silicone coupling. I have made it extremely tight until I start to cut into the coupling. Any suggestions???

I just keep a screwdriver in the glove box, mine acutally came off once while I was driving but that's the only time. The problem I have now is I cant keep the actuall CAI intake to not rest on the car.
