ditto, I always do that. Or if I REALLY want some power NOW, I'll just shift it into 2nd or 3rd depending on which gear and how much power I want. Sometimes I'll even go from 2nd to 1st from a low roll if I really want to launch it. 4.10s are a blast with the auto and it's not so bad on the highway either imo

Acceleration from a dead stop is fantastic.

I just got my 4.10's done yesterday. The car is way easier to drive. It doesn't keep feeling like I'm trying to drive out of a swamp or feel like I'm towing a boat when I hit the gas now. The car actually starts moving when I hit the gas, regardless of the gear I'm in. It really is everything everyone says it is.

go with 4.10s
on the highway at 70-75 mph, rpm is around 2500-2750, but you can drive around town in 5th doing 1200 rpm @ 35 mph if you want
average mpg according to the computer is around 17 depending on how I drive

2nd I'm not sure.
I believe you mean 5th, not 4th. There's no way my 4.10's are around 2500 in 4th at 70MPH. However, in 5th at 70, RPM's are just a tad under 2500.

If you have an auto, you do need to have the shift points adjusted. Otherwise you can just adjust via the hand held. You will want to have tires that can grip.
THIS! definitely get tires that can grip. I'm running 235/55/17's on 17" Bullitt rims (love the rims, just need to go bigger) and I slide all over the place. Not that that's a bad thing, I love sliding around the corners... I just don't get any traction from a light.

I've had some more time driving with 4.10's now. At 70, it seems to be just under 2,500 rpm. It's really not an issue. I love being able to accelerate in 5th on the freeway now.

I still bark the hell out of second with 285's.
