I have a '96 gt and the speedometer shows way!! more than i am really going like when im going 35 mph it shows im going between 140 and 150 which definitely not right! If anyone knows what the problem might be or has any ideas I'm open for them.

your in 2005-2011 mustang section asking about a 96......

 

If yours was an '05-'10 I'd say it's a bad cluster. Check your section for concurrence and if that's what others think, check ebay. MUCH cheaper than the stealership.
