Default Intercooler Nitrous mist??

Sucks to have nothing more than 90 octane up here in AK.

Thought about using 93 octane or more by adding Torco into the mixture, but I have to drive 55 miles to the track and don't want to waste it driving there OR having to mix it after I get there (90 for the trip, adding Torco there = 93 oct)

Anyone have experience in one of those NOS/NX brand intercooler misters?

I am getting an air to air intercooler, and thinking about spraying between runs or through the 1/8th mile to keep things chilled like a ****...

Suggestions???

A friend of mine had one on his turbo Civic for two years with no problems and then his intercooler started to show cracks at the ends where the inlet and outlets are. So it's something to keep in mind. His experience might have just been a one in a million thing.

I can tell you that before his intercooler failed, he really liked it and would always suggest it to other people complaining about heat soaking.

I wonder how corrosive nitrous is to aluminum? I may try the other one that does not use nitrous but the CryO2 based kit. Glad to hear it works well. I thought about using a small shot of nitrous as well, but the intercooler mist sounds better to me. I just want the coolest charge possible witout too much hassle. I thought about meth injection as well, but not trying to overkill the situation. Most of the time, meth works a little too well and I'll end up having to re-tune and end up making too much power.

Why not just run meth?

Or better yet get an air/water intercooler?

The N2O ICs waste a lot of money. Sounds like a good idea, then you have to fill the bottle up with expensive N2O. Better off just getting meth injection and calling it good.

You're going to see a huge difference bith the HO kit if you get it. You won't need the meth probably.

I thought about running meth injection but I don't want to have to tune for such an aggressive set up that meth brings, or run less boost and compensate with the meth tune.

I just want something that will keep the intercooler temps down and stay down for the track. I only use the V3 during the summertime, so the air/water charge cooler is out of the question because of how much crap there is to take off. I'd rather just use the air to air, and take off the main SC unit and plumbing for the intercooler (stays in place) and cap off the ends, while securing them.

I heard I can run C02 or Cry02, but I have to do more research...

I read about people using windshield wiper fluid as a mist but I am not familiar with that either. I believe it's similar to running meth...

I'm sure you would confuse some people when they ask if you're running nitrous and you say "yeah it keeps my intercooler cool" haha

First, the tune is as aggressive as your tuner makes it, has nothing to do with the Meth.

Second, there's not all that much to it. There's a brain, tank, lines and power.

Don't do anymore research on the other stuff. It's a waste of time, money and effort.

I am spraying meth and nitrous at the same time. It work amazing and my tunes no longer need timing retard and now I can spray 175 wet. I was maxxed out at 125 before the meth. And if octane is your only hold back toluene, acetone and xylene all make great octane boosters. Just mix in Jerry can with fuel en route to track then add once you get there and drive a bit to get it into lines
