For your axle ratio (or whether your car is a TrackPack), you can dig up your window sticker by VIN and look at that. If you don't want to do that, look at your build placard thing on the driver's side door jamb and it has a spot that says 'Axle Code'.

CB = 3.73
CD = 3.55
CG = 3.31

I believe ALL S197 GTs are limited slip (Trac-Lock).

Those codes changed for 2011 and I think a BB = 3.73 and a DD = 3.55. It would follow logically that a GG = 3.31, but I haven't ever verified that.

Far as I can tell on brakes, all 2005+ GTs have the same 2-piston calipers up front. The 3.73 package on the 2010 gives you the same Performance Friction pads up front as the Track Pack cars too.

Agreed on this as I have a '10 with only the 3.73 axle package, which consists of:
  1. 3.73 limited slip rear axle (carbon fiber clutch plates)
  2. Revised stability control (higher yaw threshold)
  3. Performance Friction "Z rated" pads front/ rear
At the time of purchase the only way for me to order the Track Pack was to also buy the Premium package... making the deal too pricy for me.

I own a performance driver's school and have logged a lot of track miles on both my car a two customer's '10 GT Track Pack cars... HUGE difference in on-track handling. The base suspension, while comfy on the highway and responsive falls on itself on the track, much too under-damped in both bump and rebound. The Track Pack transforms the car into a very controlled driver on-track without undue harshness.

In hindsight, if I had had more time to wait to buy a new car I would have saved up or waited for prices to drop a bit to stretch to a Track Pack car.

Best,
Rob
