lit " 0 miles to empty". How far can I go with that?
Just to know I pushed it to the limit once, about 35 miles after it read 0. 1 gallon seems reasonable. Side note, my old Lincoln LS had an 18gal tank with a gauge that read 16gal, leaving a 2gal reserve.
It's done on purpose. the tank has a 'reserve' built into it where tank and Miles to Empty will read 0 and you will still have about 1 to 1 1/2 gallons left.
The furthest I drove was 15 miles after it said 0. Stupid on my part and I never get below 1/8 of a tank now.

Its nothing about beeing to savy to fill The full tank. To bring a stang to EUROPE is about to double its price due to taxes. And price of one gallon You wont find cheaper than 8 dollars. I use it as a second car for daily driving. Sometimes driving in a City You just forget to fill, and on The daily basis
it has a miles to empty reading how can you just forget?
though I have a 45-50 mile drive to work each day so I always make sure I have atleast 100 miles of gas (if its at or near 100 then I fill it up)

I have just back from The gas station. Filled up 14 gallons with two clicks at the end. So theoretically there were still some 16-14 = 2 gallons left. Which would make 15-30 miles to go in worst case
. By the way cost of full tank is 112 $ and so every second day. Just overhead costs for joy driving

Overheating or cavitating fuel pump = bad!
At that point you're just inviting the pump to fail prematurely, which is a costly repair. As Nuke mentioned, the fuel itself is the cooling for the fuel pump, it's also what lubricates it. Ford knows this and engineered the system this way for a reason. Personally if my tank gets to 1/4 full I'll seek out a nearby gas station (also because I have my KB).
That said, if you reach 0 miles to E and have a Mustang with MyColor gauges your fuel gauge should change to red once you reach that 0 mark. And then you should have roughly a gallon left.

You might think he's a moron, but at least he's a moron with a hot *** girlfriend! ;-)
@ OP: Not that I think you're a moron, just paraphrasing what others said to get the point across. I think everyone else summed it up pretty well as to why you shouldn't run that low, and you have about a gallon or so left once you hit 0. I have gone to the 0 mark once but I had just pulled into the gas station.

LOL! I didn't say the OP was a moron; just that I didn't think he wanted to be stranded on the road LIKE a moron. Yeah, hot girlfriend, indeed.
Unless your driving habits change, you use no more fuel if you start out with a full tank or with 2 gallons or so. Just fill it, keep it full as much as possible and be done. If the OP can afford the import tax + $10k for "accessories", he can afford to fill it.
