Thanks for the tips guys.. I will definitely take them and apply them at the track when I get the chance (hopefully next weekend! )

Next year.. it's cams, driveshaft and a high stall converter!

Now that we covered what TO do.. are there any things there should absolutely NOT be done, either during the burn out, launching or racing??

PS
Is it nessessary to change the mph/revs settings for the new Drag radials?

if so, what numbers are they for the MT's?

That measurement you are giving is the Bias ply, not the drag radial tire.

Based on that info:

Don't burn out for too long.
If you get a little squirly at the top end be patient and careful.
Start around 20 PSI and get used to the tires. Go down from there. A little bit of tire spin with these tires is okay.

I don't get how the ET Streets are any different than the ET drag, other than the ET Streets have those lines down the side. I thought they were of the same compound??

I hope these tires are still okay.. they were labeled "Racing tire" and I bought them without question...

You'll be fine.

You have an extra set of wheels that you will be swapping back and forth?

I prefer the bias ply to the radial at the track. They last longer, need less burnout and are more forgiving.

+1 on simple simon. But with that said I drop my bias ply's to 13psi, and check them again before every run, dump the clutch at 4500rpm and hold on!

You guys don't bog when you dump the clutch? Dumping it always seemed counterintuitive to me. Some slip seems like it would always be necessary to avoid bog.
