WHAT have you been changing so often? Gears? Isn't that kind of expensive? PLEASE don't tell me that you think that changing the gear setting on a tuner actually changes your drive ratio...

You said you wanted gears for the best fuel mileage at 80-100 MPH. Well, that would be 3.31's or lower but then you'll be a dog off the line.

lmao, for some reason i suspect this is true. its not that hard to choose between 3.55 and 3.73. and the time and cost it would involve to repeatedly swap, its just not feasible. also, there not a big difference between the two. not enough to warrant multiple switches anyway.

..Which made me wonder if he meant that he changed gear ratio settings on his tuner and thought that was really "changing his gears". I was looking to clarify that he really wasn't that.... that.... "misinformed".

He had also stated in another post that he changed it to 4.00 (no that is not a typo from me). I have wondered about this until Nuke broke the ice on it. I wondered how he was getting from 0-145 so quick in a video he shot in another post. It is all starting to come together now.

...which could also explain his drop in fuel mileage per the onboard in post #9. Matter of fact, when I read that post, I can't believe it didn't hit me sooner...

I love my 4.10's so far the best mod I've done (i havent really done a whole lot) I take the interstate to base everyday and travel around 70-75mph and get 20-23mpg(5 speed) which I dont complaign with full exhaust, CAI, CMDP's, and a tune. i dont think its that bad at all.

Well I am not going to laugh or flame the guy. I have done more than my share of stuff. Some people just don't know. That is why we have forums to ask questions about things we do not know about. Although it is a little funny we have all done things that were not the brightest and best idea ever conceived. At least I have anyway. SilkyStang, it is OK to not know about something.
