Default AC and bogging down issue

Hello everyone! Newbie here, just signed up. This is a great site! I am having some issues with my 2002 GT 96,000 miles. I recently experienced engine bogging down and cutting off while in 2nd gear or in idle when the AC compressor is ON. When I turn off the AC and just run the fan the rpms increase and theres no issue. I gave the entire system a good cleaning except the fuel injectors and replaced the mass flow air sensor ( right about the intake). I do have a k&n air filter and cleaned that as well. This problem only exists in low gear or in idle when AC is on. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix??
Thanks for any input/responses!

It sounds like your compressor is ready to sieze up, causing a lot of parasitic drag on the engine at low RPM. When the R's go up, the engine can overpower it. I would check to see if you have a fully charged AC system and see if the compressor is turning freely. From what I hear, Ford has a pretty robust AC system, but 96K is quite a workout for any component. I've had similar problems with the AC in my GMC truck at 80 and
102K miles(which I fixed by trading it in on a Mustang!).
