Default Headers with out tune

I am, hopefully, going to buy a set of Kooks LTs. Of course I will have it custom tuned, by Bama, along with all my mods, you can read them in sig. If I have have problems and i return the car to stock tune and take off the CAI, will the car still work properly?
This has to do with warranty, and if I have problems, I want the dealership to only see I have headers. So will the car run? Bama said it wouldn't, but my friend said it would, just really lean.

Just wondering, did your friend also tell you that running your motor "really lean" is a great way to destroy it.

Returning the air box and tune to stock with the LT's will result in throwing a code since the tune will be looking for the rear O2's. Otherwise, it should run fine.

I assume you will get a set of headers with cats? If so you can return stock tune when air intake is stock and you will be fine with headers. Infact you don't really require a tune for long tubes provided the tune you have now has a good A/F ratio.

If I recall correectly the main thing to get adjusted in the tune when switching to long tubes is the amount of time the computer takes to start measuring O2 sensor temps. Being that the sensors are further away, they take longer to warm up which has something to do with how accurate they are. I'm not exactly sure, but I think i would rather have my car not throwing the code when I go to the dealership.

I think Sparta is correct when saying the car will probably run just fine, or okay enough to make it there, with the stock tune.

What kind of work at the dealership are you having done?

Im not having any work done. Just incase I need warranty work, I was hoping tot take everything off. I though just driving 15 mins to the dealership won't be that hard on the car.
