Gear swap

DONT DO IT YOURSELF! TAKE IT TO A SPECIALIST!
I am not yanking your chain. This is not a DIY job. You can buy the parts but have someone else do it. They are not like the gear set ups back in the day. Go to your local track and ask around. Go to Ford and ask them. Find someone who is old and all he does is gear swaps.

DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF!
THESE cars are very sensitive to gear installs and the slightest error you might not even notice can give you HELL.
Find a good shop that is experienced with doing gear swaps in these model years.
And make sure you DONT use the Motive Gears even if they say Ford Racing on Fords website. Motive parts end with an M at the end.
They aRE not built as strong and are notorious for gear whine even if some people tell you its because of install.
Its usually not. I have had numerous friends redo theirs because they had motives.
