car loses power at 3500 rpm
#11
i also have a 2009 mustang GT and it seems to lose power when it hits 4,000 rpm. ive seen videos on youtube where it should hit the 6,000 rpm to get it to accelerate fast. i.e. i should hit 60mi in second gear, but mines does it when its on its 3rd.
acceleration is pretty good from 1,000 to 4,000rpm but it seems like it makes alot of effort to exceed the 4,000 rpm. i tried it with and without the tcs.
i just bought the car, so i havent yet changed spark plugs, air filter, coils, fuel filter, or cleaned the injectors.
i changed oil and differential oil
differential oil was too dirty!!
i do not have any performance parts installed, all OEM parts.
i do not know the previous owner, so i am not sure if the car was tuned this way, or i should have anythin fixed or replaced in the car...
please help!!

Hmmm well I had no clue what was wrong with my the only thing I could think of was the tune I got from bama and after I got a dyno tune the problem stopped. And since you don't know the owner it makes hard to find out if it was something they did, try checking all your vacuum lines and making sure everything is plugged in good, then disconnect your battery for a couple of minutes so your ecu can reset itself and see if that helps
