Default One Piece Drive Shaft Install?

I'm getting ready to install my one piece shaft on my 06 GT and am confused on which way it goes in. There is a boot on one end and steedas instructions say the boot should face the rear but in all the pictures I've seen of it installed the boot is mated at the transmission end. Anyone have any insite on this?

It shouldn't be possible to put it on backwards, it uses an adapter plate, right? Only one side will mate up to the adapter.

Here's my post from my install. Do yourself a favor and torque the adapter and driveshaft+adapter bolts in 2 stages and in a criss cross pattern.

Have you ever changed a pinion flange before? if not, bring it to a qualified shop. There is a crush washer in there that should be replaced. You can torque it down a little more, but it is really difficult to do on your back.

Axle Exchange makes Steeda's driveshaft as far as I know. They make my driveshafts...

I know all that. All I need to know is which way the boot end of the shaft goes. To the front or rear of the car?

Spoke to Axle Exchange and they said the boot goes to the rear of the vehicle. They make the same shaft for both stedda and American muscle and according to them the joint is made to go to the rear of the vehicle in place of the CV joint on the stock shaft. Future reference for anyone who runs into the same issue down the road.

Need some help her guys...LOL! looking to install an aluminum driveshaft on my 2010 GT, it is a one piece shaft which supposely needs no additional parts to it. Now the question is; concening degree settings, my car has been lowered about 2" and some one tells me that it will vibrate and possibly damage the shat unless I use and adapter to bring the degree seetings back in order. Please some one here help me out with this, have I been told the true her, I had done a bit of search and do not find anything negative on the install. HEP!!

You'll need a adjustable upper control arm or lower control arm relocation brackets. I have BmR LCA relocation brackets and haven't had any issues with noise or vibration so far.

Yeah you will need and adjustable UCA. There are several threads on setting your pinion angle, you should read them.
