Think I get the jist of it, gonna use that stillen install guide probably. Gotta find myself some wiring. This doesn't have to do with the water issue though but I looked on youtube for some cleaning out/fixing of that problem, which I'll follow as well soon.

Thanks for the reminder! I haven't cleaned my Ground Terminals yet this year. I've had a few issues in the almost 4 years I've had the '05 but it seems to be OK when I clean the terminals. I do try to keep the Battery Tender hooked up when it's in the garage to hopefully avoid a low battery condition. My Optima Redtop is about 3 years old now. I also opted to replace the alternator with a PA Performance 130A from American Muscle this year to avoid that issue too. I was talking to my good friend at the local NAPA last weekend and told him what I paid for the Alt. He said his Ford Rebuilts are about that price and they're usually a POS!
